FESTIVAL OF FANTASY PARADE

WHAT:                 The Second Annual Festival of Fantasy is a free celebration that will empower children and adults to realize their own creative potential - in a safe environment. Activities include a Parade, Costume Contest, awards, local mascots including RHS Peepers and more!  Also featuring: The “Undertaker”, Rockford’s own philanthropist, providing entertainment, and Billy the Balloon Guy twisting balloon creations. 

 

WHEN:                Saturday, October 27, 2007                                                              

 

WHO:                   Children–Ages 2–12 may participate in costume contest

 

§         Ages 2-5 years–Jack & Jill O’Lantern Division

§         Ages 6-10 years–Ghosts-R-Us Division

§         Ages 11-12 years–Spook-Tacula Division

§         Ages 2-12 years-Special Star Wars and Harry Potter Divisions!

 

                              Everyone is welcome to join in the fun, dress in costume,

                              and walk in the FESTIVAL OF FANTASY Parade!

 

WHERE:              Parade will begin and end at Davis Park in downtown Rockford (park bordered by S. Wyman, Chestnut Street and the Rock River).  The route will require participants to walk approximately three blocks.  RAIN SITE = Memorial Hall.

 

TIMES:                Registration:  9:00-10:00 a.m.  Parent or Guardian must sign Registration Form and accompany child throughout the event.

 

                              Costume Judging:  9:30-11:00 a.m.

 

                              Parade:  11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.  Parade ends at Davis Park where awards will be presented!  Homemade costumes preferred but not required.
